PRESS RELEASE

Rockin’ Robbins announces 2022 band lineup

WILLMAR, MN (Dec. 21, 2021) – The Willmar Rotary Club has announced its headline acts for Rockin’ Robbins 2022, the free summer concert series held each summer at Robbins Island in Willmar.

July 12 – Xpedition, sponsored by Duininck, is the nation’s premier tribute band performing all the chart-topping hits of Journey, Foreigner, Kansas, and Styx. Lead vocalist Gabe Jacobs astonishes fans with soaring vocal precision, much like the legendary Steve Perry. You’ll hear dynamic keyboard performances, rhythmic bass lines, and high energy drumming that will transport you back in time to that glorious era of arena rock.

July 19 – The Johnny Holm Band, sponsored by TerWisscha Construction, Inc., is one of the most widely-known and well-traveled bands in America. Those who have caught Johnny’s past performances at Summertime by George or the Spicer 4th of July know that he dedicates every show to the fans, and it’s the FANS who do most of the entertaining! Joined onstage by daughter, Jordan Holm, and some of the finest musicians in the Midwest, this band rocks, picks, and thunders along from the first song to the last laugh.

July 26 – Good for Gary was a huge hit in New London last summer! Sponsored by Mills Automotive Group, this Twin Cities cover band specializes in playing current and past dance hits, focusing on the newest Top 40 songs. With a 7-piece line-up, there’s no hip-hop, pop, or dance song they can’t cover. You’ll hear Iggy Azalea, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Macklemore, and old school jams at every show. Their devotion to getting people moving is making Good for Gary one of the most exciting and sought-after cover bands in the Twin Cities.

August 2 – The Fabulous Armadillos, sponsored by Lakeland Broadcasting, close-out the Rockin’ Robbins Concert Series each year to crowds that just keep multiplying in size. Once again, KFAN’s Chris Hawkey will join the incredibly talented Pamela Helmer McNeill on vocals. This amazing 8-piece band (with horn section) plays classic rock hits from the 70s and 80s, along with spot-on covers from a variety of genres.

The Willmar Rotary Club is now selling sponsorship packages for Rockin’ Robbins 2022. For more information, visit www.rockinrobbins.com/sponsors. Payments are due March 31, 2022. For questions, please contact Michelle Goltz at sponsors@rockinrobbins.com.

I was there all 4 nights, it was awesome! There is no way 8,000+ people were there. Must have been counting the vendors, kids at the park that weren't watching, bus drivers, police, emts etc?

Dustin, did you make it to any of these concerts this year?

We always have a good time!!! Kudos to Willmar Rotary Club!!!!

Sounds like those number are a bit boosted 😆

8k people? No. Maybe 8k drinks sold.

What fun!
