AS SEEN IN SATURDAY'S WEST CENTRAL TRIBUNE!

"In spite of the heat warnings and our first-ever rain delay, Rockin’ Robbins 2022 was an amazing success!

We shared some big news at our final concert last Tuesday. There are now official plans to construct a permanent bandshell and amphitheater by summer 2024! The Willmar Rotary Club has pledged $100,000 to launch the project and fundraising will begin soon.

Special thanks to all our sponsors for sharing the vision of a free concert series, to our vendors for cooking up all the good eats, and to the many volunteers who work so hard to make it happen.

Another big thank you to those who work so dilligently behind the scenes, including:

Willmar Public Works
Willmar Police Department
CentraCare EMS
Willmar Bikes (bike corral)
Willmar Parks & Rec (kids area)
Vinje Church (kids area)
Dennis Benson (photographer)
Linda Fostervold (photographer)
Dave Hillenbrand (camera operator)
Tim Rehn (camera operator)

And, finally, a big thank you to YOU – our fans – for believing in us and showing up week after week. See you again in 2023!

– The Willmar Rotary Club"

THANK YOU, EVERYONE! SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!

It was a steamy one, but WOW! Willmar turned out in force for the last Rockin' Robbins concert of 2022!

Photos by Dennis Benson and Linda Fostervold are now available for viewing on our website at rockinrobbins.com/photos/.

Special thanks to Opening Act Steer Clear, sponsored by Johnson, Moody, Schmidt, Kleinhuizen & Zumwalt, and our Headliner – The Fabulous Armadillos – presented by Lakeland Broadcasting!

We are so grateful to the Willmar community for supporting Rockin' Robbins 2022! If you missed it, we revealed the proposed design for a new bandshell/amphitheater with plans to raise funds and complete construction by summer 2024! More on this coming soon. Please continue checking our website for updates!

We've said this many times, but we'll say it again. We could never pull off this amazing free concert series year after year without the generous support of our sponsors. Please thank them for their involvement, and keep an eye out for our full page thank you ad in this Saturday's West Central Tribune.

Stay cool, Willmar! We'll see you next year for Rockin' Robbins 2023!

Week 3 of RR22 was definitely one for the ages!

It was our first ever rain delay, but we are NOT QUITTERS here in Willmar! When Good for Gary finally took the stage after the epic downpour, Dan, the lead vocalist, looked out at the crowd and yelled, "Wow! I can't believe you're still here!"

Thanks to Opening Act Radio Acoustic for rolling with the punches and squeaking in a shortened set before the rain hit.

Also, thanks to this week's guest photographer, Linda Fostervold, for capturing all the crazy. All the photos are now on our website at rockinrobbins.com/photos/

If you can believe it, next week is already our last concert for 2022! Come early at 5 PM to catch Opening Act Steer Clear sponsored by Johnson, Moody, Schmidt, Kleinhuizen & Zumwalt P.A.

Next up at 6:30 PM, it's everyone's favorite year-end closer – the Fabulous Armadillos – presented by Lakeland Broadcasting. KFAN’s Chris Hawkey is back for 2022, along with the incredibly talented Cassandra Mae on vocals. We all love this amazing 8-piece band that plays all our favorite classic rock hits, so “COME OUT OF YOUR SHELL” and GET READY TO DANCE for the final week of Rockin' Robbins!

See you at the Island!

Good news, bad news. Due to the timing of our next rain event, Opening Act Radio Acoustic will not be performing tonight. However, it looks like things should clear up by the time Good for Gary takes the stage at 6:30 PM, so our HEADLINE ACT IS ON!

Food vendors are arriving, the beer truck and Jumbotron are on site, and after a brief rain shower, we will be up and running!

See you tonight at Robbins Island!
